By using heavy quality Nubuck leather, the EDIX Tequiro treeless western saddle looks tougher than its little brother, the EDIX Tiamo saddle. Because this is a sturdier leather than soft leather and the replacement of one of the foam layers, in the EDIX mpds, with a 14 mm felt layer, this saddle can also be used by a somewhat heavier rider. The EDIX Tequiro is equipped with the EDIX circle Y-girth system, the three-corner connection, which allows the girth forces to act over a larger area of the saddle because the connections are attached to the saddle at the front and back, instead of in the middle. The pommel is interchangeable and therefore adjustable for a high or low wither. The pommel is made of fiberglass and the cantle of the soft material high density foam. Both connect the left and right halves of the saddle and together provide stability to the saddle and comfort for the rider.

The special treeless underlay, also known as the substructure of the saddle, is due to its construction an addition to the pressure-distributing materials of the treeless saddle, also known as the superstructure of the entire saddle combination. The EDIX underpads are anatomically shaped and equipped with the correct inserts, guaranteeing freedom of movement of the spine. Because the EDIX pads have 8 insert compartments, position-correcting material can be added in the upper insert compartments, allowing you to temporarily improve a saddle position. In addition to the EDIX Uni Merino sheepskin Western pads that fit under the EDIX Tequiro, a matching Tequiro felt pad with synthetic fur has been developed in the same line as the saddle. Unlike other EDIX pads, the Tequiro pad has a neoprene top layer for an extra stable connection with the saddle. All EDIX pads are specially designed for the EDIX treeless saddles, but also fit many other brands of treeless saddles.
To ensure constant firm fixation, we recommend the use of a fully or partially elastic girth. A durable elasticity that is tailored to the strength of your horse, protecting your saddle against unwanted forces caused by the varying abdominal circumference of your horse while riding. The elastic of the girth always adjusts in length and has the ability to keep the saddle in place with constant tension.
Depending on the intensity of use, inserts are subject to wear and tear and should be checked from time to time for remaining resilience. These sets of inserts are available separately.
