The EDIX Billy is a lightweight, treeless western saddle, specially designed for young riders and their ponies. With its western design, fenders, and comfortable, flexible construction, this saddle offers a safe and natural seat for children enjoying trail rides. Construction
The EDIX Billy is built using the EDIX® MPDS (Multiple Pressure Distribution System), a multi-layered structure that ensures even pressure distribution and optimal spinal freedom for the pony. The saddle is made entirely from synthetic materials, making it fully vegan-proof. The seat is finished with a suede-look fabric for extra grip and comfort.
The included pony pommel provides sufficient wither clearance for most ponies, but can be replaced with a soft pommel for rounder pony types without pronounced withers. Thanks to its treeless design, young riders can better feel the movements of their pony, which helps them develop a balanced, independent seat more easily.
The saddle is delivered as a complete set with matching fenders (in kids or mini-kids size) and stirrups. Several D-rings allow for the attachment of a breast collar or saddle bag.

For optimal stability while riding, EDIX recommends using a 3-part anatomical or crescent girth. We also recommend combining the saddle with the Billy pad or an EDIX 8-pocket pad for perfect pressure distribution and adjustable balance using shims.
