EDIX® Courville pad Merino® fur

On both sides of the spine there are 2 large compartments on the inside and 3 small compartments on the top for inserts, all with felt inserts. Of course, a different type of insert can be chosen if necessary. Because the pad is equipped with 8 insert pockets, there are several options to ensure further pressure distribution with the pad and/or to position the saddle differently. Where the rider's leg rubs during riding, a nylon reinforcement has been applied to prevent wear.

High-quality Merino® wool is probably still one of the most technically advanced materials in the world. Because the original fur skin is used instead of sheared and woven wool, optimal benefit is taken from the benefits of this natural material. That is why we recommend using directly on the horse's back.

The new free spinal canal of the EDIX® Merino pads, with short-sheared Merino wool, has been developed in a way to reduce pressure points and to provide the best protection for your horse's spine. Furthermore, the Merino fur sheet has a large surface area so that the panels of the saddle rest completely on it. As a result, the natural fibers effectively distribute sweat moisture to the outside, simultaneously distributing pressure and absorbing shock.

The EDIX® Courville underlay can also be used under the EDIX® Vika all-purpose saddle and under various other brands of treeless saddles.
